Ewan Galbraith
Founder and lead consultant. Twelve years in corporate finance before starting the practice. Specialises in financial restructuring and pricing strategy.
Precision Biz Solutions grew out of a frustration. Our founder, Ewan Galbraith, spent twelve years inside corporate finance departments at two FTSE 250 companies and watched the same pattern repeat: an expensive consultancy would arrive, produce a thick report, and leave. The report would sit in a drawer because nobody on the ground knew how to implement it.
In 2017 Ewan left his corporate role and set up shop in Castle Grantborough with a different model. Smaller teams. Shorter engagements. Reports that fit on two pages, with a clear list of who does what by when. The first client was a regional haulage firm with 40 vehicles and a cash-flow problem that turned out to be a billing-cycle problem. We fixed it in three weeks. That firm is still a client today.
Since then we have completed over 180 consulting projects for companies ranging from five-person start-ups to established businesses with 300 staff. Our average project length is six weeks. We stay involved through implementation, not just diagnosis.
Our mission is straightforward: give business owners the information and the plan they need to make the next right decision. Not the next ten decisions. Just the next one, with enough clarity that it actually gets done.
If a recommendation takes more than a paragraph to explain, it probably has not been thought through well enough. We distil complicated situations into plain language and concrete steps.
We tie our advice to measurable outcomes. If we say a change should save you £40,000 a year, we track it with you for six months to see whether it did. When it falls short, we adjust the approach.
Meetings have agendas and end on time. Reports arrive on the date we promised. If we need more information from your team, we send a specific list rather than vague requests.
We are based in Scotland and most of our clients are in the UK. That means we understand the regulatory environment, the tax landscape and the commercial culture you operate in.
We keep the team small on purpose. Every person listed here will work directly on your project. There are no layers of junior analysts between you and the people making recommendations.

Operations consultant. Background in supply-chain management for a Scottish food manufacturer. Leads our process-mapping and efficiency projects.
Market strategy analyst. Holds an MSc in economics from Edinburgh. Builds the financial models and competitive analyses that underpin our growth recommendations.
For larger projects we bring in vetted associates with sector-specific expertise, but one of our core team always leads the engagement.
Numbers tell the story better than adjectives. Here is where we stand after eight years of consulting work:
183
projects completed
94%
client satisfaction rate
6 weeks
average project length
70%
repeat-client rate
We measure satisfaction through a short survey sent at the end of every project. The 94 per cent figure reflects clients who rated the engagement 4 or 5 out of 5. The remaining 6 per cent rated us 3 out of 5; nobody has given us a 1 or 2 in the past four years.
Our repeat-client rate tells us something important: the advice works well enough that people come back with the next problem. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.
